Most often, you'll find students in the Cyber Center during lunch; some of them looking for books, some working on homework, and others just hanging out.
 Since Crooms AOIT revolves around Information Technology, we definitely needed some technology in the Cyber Center. Dell Dimension and Apple iMac computers in the Cyber Center enable students to do research for projects using online dictionaries, encyclopedias, and translators, and they can use the SCPS Library (Horizon) Search to find the book they're looking for. Students can also plug-in their laptops at various places around the Cyber Center and use them for projects and assignments as well.
Here at the Crooms AOIT Cyber Center, students can choose from a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books to use for class or for their personal reading. In addition to fiction and non-fiction books, the Cyber Center also has a variety of encyclopedias and many books related to the topic of computers. |
