LANfest 2.0 is a cumulative project amongst Crooms Academy of Information Technology students to demonstrate their abilities to setup, implement, and run a successful LAN party utilizing technical skills they've gained and developed over their four (4) years in highschool. LANfest will include approximately 80 students from the 9 - 12th grades as they play their way overnight into spring break.
LANfest 2.0 is hosted by Crooms Academy of Information Technology, a magnet highschool in Seminole County. LANfest piggybacks on top of TechFest, a yearly event presented by the Crooms Academy Business Advisory Committee. This Technology Fest not only provides funding of scholarships for Crooms students, future employees, but also facilitates a unique format of business to business networking, marketing, and information sharing. The Business Advisory Committee's goal is to help our fellow businesses understand the future of technology and how they can prepare for it by utilizing Crooms students.
